MARION — A driver lost control of their vehicle around 2:10 a.m. on Interstate 195 westbound in Marion on Friday, Nov. 22, causing them to crash into the nearby woods.

Marion Fire Chief Brian Jackvony said that the male driver was the only person inside the car at the time. He was evaluated at the scene of the accident, and refused medical aid.

It is unclear what caused the accident, but Jackvony said that since the car crashed into the woods, no debris was left on I-195, and there was no blockage of traffic as a result.

The Marion Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Massachusetts State Police responded to the early morning accident.
