Catherine A. (Watts) Gibbs, 92, of Marion, died Sept. 28, 2022 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. She was the widow of the late Milton Gibbs and Alvin Gibbs. She was the daughter of the late Scott and Geneva (Fish) Watts.

Mrs. Gibbs was born in Rogue Bluffs, ME and lived in Marion for many years. She spent summers in Rogue Bluffs, ME all of her life. She graduated from Wareham High School.

Mrs. Gibbs worked as the Town Assessor for the Town of Marion for many years. She was re-elected in May to serve another term.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Gibbs and his wife Leslie of Marion; 2 daughters, Donna Gibbs of Marion and Cathy McGuire and her husband Bob of Fall River; 7 grandchildren, Sherri White, Daniel Gibbs, Jr., Kelly Gibbs, Ryan Cusick, Andy Cusick, Stephanie McGuire and Brian McGuire and a special mention to Joel Watters; 15 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at North Marion Cemetery, County Road, Marion.
