Chamber Music Series begins in Marion

Members of the chamber group known as South Coast Chamber Music performed at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion on Saturday.
This was the first concert of five to be played this season, which extends from September to May. The series introduces classical music to the south coast. The group celebrated the “Four B’s” — Beethoven, Brahms, Bernstein, and Bacewicz.
Specifically, violinists Piotr Buczek and Julia cash, violist Don Krishnaswami, cellist Timothy Roberts and Janice Weber performed at the event.
Attendees bought tickets ahead of time and students were admitted for free.
The next concerts will take place Nov. 10 and 11, and will feature the music of Schubert with internationally known tenor Frank Kelley.
