MATTAPOISETT — Everyone has their holiday traditions. Some people bake sweets while others sleep in, but this year people may also find themselves diving head first into the frosty waves at the Mattapoisett Town Beach on Christmas morning. 

Helping Hands and Hooves, a Mattapoisett based non-profit, will host the 15th annual Christmas Day Swim at 11:00 a.m.

Each swimmer is asked to give a donation of $15 and the first 75 swimmers will receive a festive long sleeve t-shirt. All of the proceeds will go to Helping Hands and Hooves to provide therapeutic horseback riding lessons for adults with disabilities.
