Classic Film series: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

MARION — The Classic Film series sponsored by the Sippican Historical Society and the Marion Council on Aging continues with the showing of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Marion Music Hall beginning at 7 p.m.

Starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford, the movie centers around bank robbers who are successful until a professional posse is hired to track them down and end their mischief. The hired guns take the fun out of bank robbing in the United States so the duo scheme to continue their skills in the mines of Bolivia.

Guests who arrive early will listen to music provided by Truman Terrell on the piano, Bob Sanderson on clarinet, and vocals by Michele Richardson. David Pierce will offer comments at the movie’s conclusion. Admission is free as is the popcorn.
