Climate lecture, crafts and games at the Mattapoisett Public Library

MATTAPOISETT — The library will host tech workshops, crafts and a talk on climate change in March. 

The library will host a TechConnect Workshop for Novelist PlusOn Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30 p.m. Novelist is a free online service that connects readers with their next book. The workshop is recommend for ages 12 and up. Participants should register before attending

Librarians will host an old CD tea light holder craft on Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. The library will provide all of the supplies.The workshop is recommended for ages 12 and up. Participants should register by March 14.

Representatives from the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs will be visiting the Mattapoisett Library on Saturday, March 28 at 11 a.m. At this special event, participants will learn about the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs and how they work to inspire young people to use their words, art, and ingenuity to combat one of today’s greatest issues: climate change. After the presentation, attendees can create a climate hope themed postcard. The workshop is recommended for ages 11 and up.
Participants should register by March 21.

On Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m., Dungeons and Dragons will meet again to continue their quest. New players are always welcome and the event is recommended for ages 12 and up.

The Game Lounge will be open Tuesday, March 17 at 4 p.m. Craft Tuesday continues every Tuesday at 4 p.m. with a new craft. Every Saturday, stop in the library anytime to partake in the Take Apart Table, with no reassembly necessary.
