MATTPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Land Trust is inviting the community to join them in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a hot chocolate hike and more.

On Monday, Jan. 20 the Trust looks to combine two fan-favorite events. At 1 p.m. the Trust will lead attendees on a Hot Chocolate Hike at the Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior Foundation on Angelica Avenue. 

This will be followed up by a campfire and hot chocolate at the foundation where there will be an opportunity for families to make a pine cone bird feeder to hang in their yard. All instructions and materials will be provided.

Attendees are asked to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. The Trust says only the worst weather cancels their hikes. No reservation is required.
