Cookbook author Maria Lawton will be at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library for a booksigning and talk on Wednesday, October 16th at 6:30 pm. Her new cookbook, Azorean Cooking: My Family Table to Yours, has been getting great reviews throughout the southcoast. The Azorean Green Bean, Maria's website, talks about preserving the food and cultures of the Azores and mainland Portugal. Don't miss this interesting presentation, co-sponsored by the Elizabeth Taber Library and the Joseph H. Plumb Library. The Mattapoisett Library is located at 7 Barstow Street and is handicapped accessible.
