Cookbooks, true crime with the Elizabeth Taber Library

Nov 30, 2022

MARION – As the temperature drops, the Elizabeth Taber Library has plenty of warm indoor activities planned for patrons of all ages at the library, located at 8 Spring St. Here’s what is on their schedule.

On Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., join the True Crime Book Club to discuss this month’s reading selection, The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule.

On Thursday, Dec. 15, get your next recipe at a cookbook swap from 4 to 6 p.m. Browse the library’s unique collection of used cookbooks for sale, or trade in a gently used cookbook for one that’s new to you. Light refreshments will be served.

Searching for the perfect last-minute gift? The Holiday Book Sale will take place indoors at the library from Dec. 15 to 17 with books, t-shirts and more. All sales benefit the library.

The next Build a Bear Workshop is Friday, Dec. 30 from 4 to 5 p.m. Limit 15 participants, call the library to sign up. This workshop is not open to those who have participated in previous Build a Bear Workshops.

Support the Marion Food Pantry by dropping off donations of shelf-stable food, pet supplies, or unopened hygiene and cleaning products to the Elizabeth Taber Library throughout November and December.
