WAREHAM — A probable cause hearing for Cody Perry of Rochester in the April 7 shooting death of Justin Doberck of Mattapoisett has been rescheduled for June 6.

The incident occurred on Friday, April 7 and Perry was held without bail on Monday, April 10.

According to Perry’s lawyer, Devin Mcbride, the hearing was postponed because the case is still under investigation. 

“The grand jury is still pending,” said Mcbride.

According to Rochester Police Department reports, Doberck had been dating Cody Perry’s sister Haley Perry for “three to four years,” and the shooting stemmed from an argument among the three people.

Doberck was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:15 p.m., according to reports.
