MATTAPOISETT — At-home COVID-19 test kits will be available for Mattapoisett residents older than 55 at a drive-up distribution event Saturday, Feb. 12 at Center School, 17 Barstow St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until supplies last.

More events will follow for additional age groups until supplies run out.

Those receiving a test kit will not have to leave their vehicles.

Each kit contains two tests. Only one kit will be distributed per resident. Proof of residency will be required of all age groups.

Plymouth County has provided the Town of Mattapoisett with a supply of at-home COVID-19 testing kits. These tests were purchased by the County with Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Program funding.

Each kit contains two tests.  Only one kit will be distributed per resident.  Proof of residency will be required of all age groups.

Residents are also encouraged to order at-home COVID-19 tests from the federal government. Each U.S. household is entitled to free rapid COVID-19 tests, which can be ordered online at COVIDtests.gov.

Homebound residents seeking an at-home test kit should call the Public Health Nurse at (508) 758-4118
