Did you know there are vampires in your house? Don’t start wearing garlic just yet, though. These are “power vampires” that use electric power even when they're turned off. They could be the coffeemaker, the computer, the game system or the printer.

Plumb Library patrons can now borrow an electric usage meter, donated by Eversource, to see how much power these vampires are consuming in their home and take steps to unplug them, if possible. This will cut down on electric usage and save money on electric bills.
