MARION —  One person was taken to Tobey Hospital after a two car accident at the intersection of County Road and Front Street on at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 23.

Chief John Garcia explained that a vehicle was stopped at a stop sign at County Road and Front Street. The driver saw a vehicle traveling north in the travel lane that had stopped to make a right, but did not realize that a second vehicle was traveling in the passing lane on the other side of the turning car.

The stopped car pulled into the intersection and hit the car in the passing lane. The driver of that car was transported to the hospital, though Garcia was not sure of the extent of their injuries.
