Drug Story Theater to perform at ORR
The Healthy Tri-Town Coalition will host a free public performance of Drug Story Theater, Inc.'s “The Price You Pay” on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Old Rochester Regional High School. The performance will engage students with the topic of adolescent addiction. The show runs 45 minutes and there is a discussion with the cast afterwards.
Drug Story Theater, Inc. takes teenagers in the early stages of recovery from drugs and alcohol, teaches them improvisational theater and engages them in psychodrama, to explore their personal stories. The teens then create their own shows about the seduction of, addiction to, and recovery from drugs and alcohol.
Their goal is to educate audiences about why teenagers are at such high risk for addiction.
The program is appropriate for middle and high school students and their families. Students under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent.
The Office of the District Attorney, Timothy Cruz, is sponsoring this performance for the students, families and community of the tri-town. All are welcome.
