Edmund P. “Ed” Florindo, Jr., 72
WEST WAREHAM – Edmund P. “Ed” Florindo, Jr., 72, of W. Wareham, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Cheryl E. (Woodbury) Florindo.
Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Frances (Pierce) and Edmund P. Florindo, Sr. A longtime resident of Wareham and a graduate of Wareham High School, Ed previously lived in Middleboro for a brief time before moving back to West Wareham.
Ed was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for Carver Marion Wareham Regional Refuse Disposal District for 42 years and retired in 2017. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Wareham Fire Department at the Tihonet Road fire station for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl of W. Wareham; his son, Edmund P. Florindo, III of W. Wareham; his step-children, David Annis and his wife Tammy of W. Wareham, Curtis Annis and his wife Terra of S. Korea, and Jennifer Weaver of Ossipee, NH; his brothers and sisters, Sandra E. Vary and her husband Gerry, Gary F. Florindo and his wife Cynthia, Debra M. Rusinoski and her husband Chester, and Allen W. Florindo and his wife Dee; his grandchildren, Scott, Marisha, Mikalya, Riley, Alexandria, Molly, Trent, and Kyle; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Savannah and Charlotte. His was predeceased by his brother, the late Walter J. Florindo, and his nephew, the late Chad M. Rusinoski.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery, Hillside Rd., Rochester at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours have been omitted.
