Enjoy block party, yardsale, bake sale with Rochester Historical Society
Event Date
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Historical Society will be holding several events this month and next.
There will be a 250th and block party celebration at the Center on Aging on Sept. 26. The part will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with games and activities for attendees of all ages.
250th hats and other items for sale, and the Historical Commission will also attend.
The society will hold a yard sale Oct. 17 and 18, and will accept donations several times before the sale. The first drop-off time will be Sept. 22 from 1 to 3 p,m,, with another Oct. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Donations can be dropped off at the museum at 355 County Road. Drive around the building to the cemetery, and drop off items at the side door.
The society requests all donations be saleable items, and that people don’t drop off anything they wouldn’t buy.
There will be a cranberry bale sale and raffle Oct. 4. The society is looking for bakers to volunteer to make baked goods — with or without cranberries — for the sale.
Volunteers can contact Connie Eshbach 617-750-2818 or eshbach2@aol.com.
