MARION — The Marion Art Center will host an opening for an exhibit by Anne Holtermann and Nancy Rich on Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. 

Rich is a photographer with “an innate ability to see the beauty in simple objects” and capture it “in a photograph that attracts the eye and stimulates the imagination.” Her subjects range from small wooden boats and seashells to marbles and gems floating in water and ice.

Holtermann paints abstract works that she calls “directly linked to visual memory... a heartfelt communication.”
