Backpacks full of materials for exploring the outdoors are now available at all tri-town libraries.

The following themed backpacks are available at Plumb Library: stargazing, nature journaling, animal tracks, weather forecasting, bird watching, pond life, insects and soon, camping.

Borrow a backpack and a Massachusetts state parks pass to explore a nature trail or seashore. Patrons can also borrow a Rochester Land Trust trail guide from the library or use the one in each backpack.

The backpacks were made possible through the grant-funded MOBY (My Own BackYard) program.
