Fall to feature afternoon art programs at Marion Art Center
MARION — An afternoon art program at the Marion Art Center has new availability, the organization announced.
“Early Dismissal Half Day Camp” will run Friday, Oct. 18 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Marion Art Center studio and is $70 for members, $80 for nonmembers. Students will explore wool felt and model magic clay during the program, creating felted soaps and personified clay pop tarts among other projects.
“All Things Paper,” a four-week session, is scheduled to run from Oct. 25 to Nov. 15 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Marion Art Center studio. Students during the program will learn to make handmade paper, monoprints on decorative paper and create mini artists’ books. The four-week session is $90 for members and $105 for nonmembers.
Sippican Elementary School students can come directly to the Marion Art Center for Art Lab. Parents can arrange for their children to be walked over by a Marion Art Center volunteer or staff member. Learn more and register for classes at marionartcenter.org/art-lab.
