MARION — Join the Marion Garden Group as they explore the “Secret Gardens of Marion” in a self-guided walking tour of eight public and private gardens throughout the town.

The tour will be held on Friday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine. The tour begins at Bicentennial Park in Marion. Tickets are $35 each and go on sale on Monday, May 1.

Visitors will enjoy a variety of garden styles including expansive waterfront vistas, intimate cottage gardens, hardscaping, container gardens and more.

Additionally, two gardens will feature local plein air artists, Jay Ryan and Barbara Healy from the Marion Art Center.

The event is organized and managed by the Marion Garden Group. Those wishing to include lunch are invited to purchase a boxed lunch from partner restaurant, Kate’s Simple Eats.

Dogs are not permitted on the walking tour.

The Secret Gardens of Marion tour is a bi-annual event that raises money for the beautification of town public spaces.
