Fire Department Association celebrates Father’s Day with clambake
ROCHESTER — Six hundred people were fed at the Rochester Fire Department Association’s Father’s Day clambake on Sunday, June 18 according to a Rochester Fire Department Facebook post.
According to the Rochester Fire Department’s post, attendees enjoyed an “all you can eat” seafood meal in benefit of the Rochester Fire Department Association.
The clambake, now in its 70th year, is the department’s “oldest tradition and biggest fundraiser,” wrote the Rochester Fire Department.
The amount of money raised from the clambake is unknown at this time.
The annual Father’s Day event received a number of positive responses from Rochester residents on Facebook.
“Thank you all for a wonderful event, my dad raved about his meal for so long,” wrote Kimberly Ryan. “Thank you for making my soon to be 91-year-old father very happy on Father’s Day.”
