Fire Department's Open House moved to Nov. 6

The Marion Fire Department is hosting its annual "Open House" on November 6.

The event, originally scheduled for October 30, was postponed due to the windstorm the tri-town received October 29-30.

The Open House is at the Marion Fire Department, 50 Spring Street. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the event will until 8 p.m.

Kids will have the chance to see military and antique fire trucks, as well as take a ride on an engine's ladder.

Sparky, the department's mascot, will be present and happy to greet all visitors.

The Fire Department is also showcasing a live dumpster fire demonstration beginning at 7 p.m.
