Food pantry serves Rochester residents

Sep 19, 2022

With the cost of food and other consumer goods on the rise, nearly one in three people in Massachusetts faces food insecurity, which means they don’t have the means to access enough nutritious food on a regular basis.

The Middleboro-based Sacred Heart Food Pantry works to ease these issues.

The pantry is open during its regular hours to serve the residents of Rochester, Middleboro, Carver and Lakeville. Anyone who needs food assistance is welcome.

The first contact can be done by phone. Call (508) 947-1717, select option 2 and leave a name and phone number. A volunteer will call to arrange food distribution.

Otherwise, patrons may visit in person during regular pantry hours to register for food distribution.

The Sacred Heart Food Pantry is located at the rear entrance of 53 Oak St. in Middleboro. The pantry is open on the first and third Wednesday mornings of the month from 8:30 to 11 a.m., the second and fourth Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
