MATTAPOISETT — United Way of Greater New Bedford and Sid Wainer and Son will be giving out free boxes of fresh produce for families on July 27 that are in need during the coronavirus pandemic.

The “Farmers to Families” food boxes are distributed on a first come, first serve basis and are intended for households of 3 or more. Through the program by the USDA, 30,000 boxes of produce will be distributed throughout the Greater New Bedford area.
