MARION — The Sippican Open, a Universal Tennis Rating-Verified Tennis Tournament, is set to return Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June  22 for a second year.

The tournament will feature four competitive divisions: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Boys’ Junior and Girls’ Junior.

With a total prize purse of $2,500, the event is open to players ages 10 and older.

“We’re thrilled to build on the momentum from last year’s UTR event,” said Ed Shanaphy, the director of tennis at Sippican Tennis Club. “By introducing junior divisions and offering prize money across all categories, we’re creating a true celebration of tennis for all ages and levels.”

Each participant is guaranteed at least two matches through a back draw format in each division to ensure everyone has a competitive and rewarding experience.
