MARION — The Marion Garden Group’s installed a new reader board at the intersection of Route 6 and Route 105 on Oct. 1.

The nonprofit group, which aims to improve public areas in Marion with landscaping, installed the new board as part of its Beautification Initiative. The Garden Group and the town work jointly to maintain and water all plants in its displays.

The group also installed the “Welcome to Marion” sign across the intersection in September 2018 and had Chatham Sign Shops make the new reader board to match the design of their other sign.

Since forming this group in 2018, the group has landscaped four larger areas and added large planters  around town.

Anyone interested in financially supporting the Marion Beatification Initiative can send donations to the Marion Garden Group, PO Box 403, Marion, MA 02738. Donors should note “Beautification” in the memo section.
