The Shell gas station, Seasons convenience store and Marylou’s Coffee shop is officially open in Rochester.

Despite Shell being the only gas station in town, the big draw is the newest Marylou’s Coffee location. Started in Hanover, the 30-year-old company has expanded from Quincy to Rhode Island.

“I’m so excited,” Kaitlyn Wildey said. “I’m from Carver, and this is the closest one to me now.”

Marion resident Kim Texeira is also excited to have a Marylou’s nearby, as she popped in to grab an application.

“I’ve actually never had the coffee here,” she laughed, “but I’ve always wanted to try it.”

Marylou’s also had employees stand near the intersection of County Road and Cranberry Highway, waving white pompoms to grab passersby attention.

Despite having to stand out in the cold and rain, it wasn’t all bad.

“We do get free coffee to keep warm,” Brittany Hunt said.

The new gas station is located on County Road, at the intersection with Route 28.
