MATTAPOISETT — Award-winning author Michelle Cusolito will give a keynote address at the Friends of Mattapoisett Library Annual Meeting on Friday, May 3 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Cusolito is known for her book that immerse readers in “the wonders of ocean science,” including “Flying Deep: Climb Inside Deep-Sea Submersible ALVIN”, “Diving Deep: Using Machines to Explore the Ocean”, and her latest work “A Window into the Ocean Twilight Zone: Twenty-Four Days of Science at Sea.”

In addition to the keynote speech, the Friends of Mattapoisett Library will present an annual financial report, a year-in-review summary and elect new board officers.

The event is free to the public and registration is not required.
