Glass animals to roam the Marion COA

MARION —Sparkling lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The Marion Council on Aging will show off a collection of glass animals during a lecture by Kirk Nelson.

Neslon, President and Executive Director of the New Bedford Museum of Glass, will give the lecture which features some pieces of art from the largest public collection of glass animals in the country.

The lecture will take place on Jan. 28 on 12:30 p.m. at the Marion Council on Aging. 

There will be creative wildlife designs by famous glass factories and leading artists from around the world.

There will be a catered lunch of baked lasagna before the lecture. Reservations will be required for the lunch and made before Jan. 24. To make a reservation, call 508-748-3570.

All lectures are free and open to the public.
