Great Decisions, a Foreign Policy Association discussion group sponsored by the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club, will begin Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Mattapoisett Library.

The group will cover a broad array of current event topics, including the Middle East alliances, the rise of ISIS, the future of Kurdistan, migration, the Koreas, the United Nations, climate change, and Cuba and the U.S.

The group meets once a week on Wednesdays for eight consecutive weeks from 1 to 3 p.m. The meeting will be in the Mattapoisett Library's conference room which offers handicap accessibility. The fees for the Foreign Policy Association discussion series booklet and one classroom DVD, plus refreshments and a donation to the library will be $30 for each person. For couples sharing a book the cost is $40.

Participants can pickup books at the library on Tuesday and Wednesday Jan. 19 and 20, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Checks should be made payable to The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club and can be mailed to The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club, P.O. Box 1444, Mattapoisett, MA 02739.
