Halloween celebrations around the towns
Marion
The Marion Art Center will host the annual costumed parade Monday, Oct 31. Everyone should meet at 4 p.m. at the Marion Music Hall at 164 Front Street.
The Sippican Elementary School Drum Corps will lead the parade, followed by witches, goblins, princesses, ghosts and all sorts of spooky and amusing spirits.
The parade route goes south on Front Street, then up Main Street, right on to Spring Street and back down Cottage Street to the Music Hall where goody bags will be handed out.
Mattapoisett
The annual Mattapoisett Halloween Parade will take place on Monday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m.
The parade starts at Center School on Barstow Street. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes according to age groups, from preschool/kindergarten to adults.
Rochester
The Plumb Corner Mall will celebrate Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There will be crafts, face painting provided by the Plumb Library, a pumpkin carving contest, sing-alongs and trick-or-treating at all the stores and businesses at Plumb Corner.
The Rochester Police Brotherhood will provide a K-9 demonstration, and All About Animals will have kittens on display.
