MARION — Ticks can transmit life-altering diseases, but when people learn proper tools and techniques they can drastically reduce their risks for contracting any tick-borne disease. So, arm yourself with knowledge and stand up to ticks!

The Sippican Lands Trust will host a special workshop on Feb. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 152 Front Street to review basic tick biology, scientifically proven protection methods, and bust any commonly held myths.
