On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the participants will learn why people dance and will learn and practice some dance moves. On Dec. 10 the children will listen to the story of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet and see the professional dancers perform their parts in costume.
Both sessions will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Ornament making
All children are invited to the Mattapoisett Library on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. for holiday ornament making with members of the Friends of the Library. Sign up by calling the children's department at 508-758-4171.
Candy house workshop and holiday stroll
Take a holiday stroll in Mattapoisett on Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at the library. Children are invited to hear holiday stories and make candy houses with library staff and volunteers from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Make this an annual tradition with your children and grandchildren.
Everyone is welcome.
