A house was badly burned by fire and one person taken to the hospital late Friday night after a house fire broke out in Rochester.

The fire, at 118 Cushman Road, was reported around 11:10 p.m. According to police broadcasts, one person was transported to Tobey Hospital with injuries.

Rochester Fire and EMS were on scene. According to emergency broadcasts, Acushnet Fire was also called for backup, and later cancelled. Eversource had arrived on scene by 1 a.m.

The extent of the damage is unclear at this time. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
