Insurance agents association donates $1,500 to food pantries
The Greater Plymouth Association of Independent Insurance Agents recently donated a total of $1,500 to three area food pantries, including The Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse, Damien’s Place Food Pantry in Wareham and the Hanson Food Pantry.
The association has financially supported the Greater Plymouth Food Warehouse for three consecutive years, but this year the association raised enough money to expand its generosity to two additional food pantries through membership dues and fundraising initiatives.
Agents, including Mattapoisett's David Dunn, presented a donation in the amount of $500 to each food pantry this month.
“Being able to support more communities that our agents serve was important to us this year,” said Debra Martin, Manager of Margaret J Grassi Insurance. “Our association is fortunate to comprise concerned agents who take community service very seriously.”
