It starts with a meal: Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church to host Rise Against Hunger
MARION — Join in the fight against hunger at Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal Church Sunday, March 16 at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Volunteer at the second annual community service challenge to help pack food to be sent across the globe to be used in medical clinics, vocational training programs, elder care facilities and schools. Rise Against Hunger assists within the United States with food, medical supplies and other assistance, including those impacted by the recent LA wild fires.
Last year, Saint Gabriel’s Episcopal packed 10,000 meals in two hours and encourages volunteers this year to help with packing, clean-up or donations. Volunteers will be provided with lunch.
