MATTAPOISETT — Swoop down to the Mattapoisett Land Trust’s annual Spring Migrant Bird Walk on Saturday, May 17.

The bird walk will begin at 8 a.m. and will be led by Mike Labossier, a member of the Nasketucket Bird Club.

Labossiere will lead walkers through the woods of Brandt Island Cove District North and out to the salt marsh while identifying birds by sight and sound along the way.

The walk will begin at the trailhead at the intersection of Tara Road and Anchorage Way.

Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and should dress appropriately for the outdoors, including sturdy footwear.

The free event is open to everyone and will take place rain or shine.
