Author Michael Ponsor will read from his novel The Hanging Judge at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library on Sunday, March 9th at 2 pm. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the reading.

Judge Ponsor graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School. In 1994, President Clinton appointed him as a life-tenured U.S. district judge. From 2000-2001 he presided over a five-month death penalty trial, the first in Massachusetts in over 50 years.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free program. Refreshments will be served. The library is located at 7 Barstow Street.
