MARION — Kids in the Marion Natural History Museum’s Coastal Explorations summer program recently had a chance to view some of the area’s amphibian and reptile species at Washburn Park.

After finding painted turtles, a garter snake, bull frog tadpoles, green frog tadpoles and salamander larvae, the kids inspected the creatures and then released them back into the wild where they were collected.
