MATTAPOISETT — The Land Trust will hold a guided walk on the Pine Island Watershed lands north of Angelica Avenue and Crescent Beach at 10 a.m on Sunday July 21.

The Mattapoisett Land Trust is working to preserve 120 acres of forests, streams, freshwater wetlands and salt marsh in the Pine Island Watershed.

The walk will begin at the Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. stone foundation site on Angelica Avenue, just after the turn east from Prospect Road.

Participants should park at the adjacent Town pump station or along the roadside. The trail is gentle but be prepared for tall grass. Walk leaders recommend long pants and closed shoes.. For more information, email info@mattlandtrust.org.
