Library to host author, book club with twist in September

Aug 12, 2019

MARION — The Elizabeth Taber Library will host an author talk and a book club with no assigned book in September.

On Sept. 12 the library will host Elizabeth Bear at the Marion Art Center at 6 p.m. Bear will talk about her writing process, recent work and take questions from the audience. Purchase or check out her books at the library before the author talk. The library asks that those who wish to participate sign up before attending the talk.

On Tuesday Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to noon and Tuesday Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. the library will host a “come as you are” book club. The group will offer a chance to talk about whatever participants are reading, no matter what they are reading. Participants can also get author and title recommendations from other readers and share their opinions about books.
