MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Lions Club will hold its annual Fall Family Fun Festival on Saturday, Oct. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. at Shipyard Park.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature hay rides, goody bags, pin the nose on the pumpkin, pumpkin bowling, corn hole, coloring station, refreshments, Halloween music and more.

Kids will be allowed to select a pumpkin to take home from the pumpkin patch.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their costumes, as long as they aren’t too scary.

The Lions Club will also have a membership booth set up where adult attendees can learn about the club and what it does for the community.

Donations accepted at the event will help fund the Massachusetts Lions eye research, diabetes awareness and local residents in need.

A rain date is scheduled for Oct. 23 at the same time and place.
