Lois Whiteman Hopkins, died at age 97, on Thursday Sept. 11.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brewer Hopkins. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and spent her later years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Marion.

She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Southard (John) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Constance Pierce (David) of Marion and Margaret Hopkins of Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania.  She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is the sister of Mary Elizabeth Maxson of Danbury, Connecticut and the grandmother of the late Andrew P. Freeman.

A gathering of friends and family will celebrate her life in the fall.
