Lots of events bubbling up at Mattapoisett library

MATTAPOISETT — As July comes to a close, The Mattapoisett Public Library, 7 Barstow St., features craft programs for kids and teens, story times for preschoolers and their families and a book club meeting.

Events include the following: 

Tuesday, July 26

All day, Craft Tuesday features Painted Rocks

6:30 p.m. Pajama Story Time

Children of all ages can enjoy story time in their favorite pajamas just before bed time! No registration necessary.

Wednesday, July 27

6:30 p.m. Well-Read Wednesday Nonfiction Book Group

Join the group for a discussion of “Sentient: How Animals Illuminate the Wonder of Our Human Senses’’ by Jackie Higgins. 

Copies of the book are available to check out and no registration is necessary. Email jjones@sailsinc.org to participate via Zoom. The next meeting will be in September.

Thursday, July 28

10:30 a.m. Storytots story time

This includes stories and songs.  All ages are welcome and no registration is necessary.

3 p.m. Firefly Suncatcher Craft

All ages are welcome to create a firefly suncatcher. Registration is required.

Friday, July 29

10:30 a.m. Outdoor Story Time is scheduled, weather permitting; check the library’s online calendar for other dates. No registration is required.

Saturday, July 30

11 a.m. Bubble Art

Children ages 5 and up are invited to experience bubble art at the library. Anyone who can blow bubbles can make bubble art. Registration is required.
