MARION — The 7th Annual Guard Oil 5K Turkey Trot event will be held on Nov. 18 to support Marion Recreation programs and initiatives. 

The 5k, run or will, will take place along Sippican Harbor through downtown Marion. The race starts and ends at Taber Academy, beginning at 10 a.m. 

It is a timed event and results will be available to all runners.

All proceeds will go directly to Marion Recreation to fund equipment, expanding program offerings for all ages, and maintaining parks, fields, beaches, and playgrounds. 

All runners will a t-shirt and the top finishers in each age group will receive medals. 

Registration for runner over 18 is $22, and the fee is $16 for those under 18. Day or race registration is available for $25.00 and $18.00 respectively
