The Marion Art Center’s Summer Members Art Show opened on Friday, Aug. 23 with an opening reception honoring the artists.

Members of the Marion Art Center were invited to submit two pieces for the exhibition titled “Art On The Water.”

The resulting show has more than 75 pieces of art depicting boats, working water front scenes, birds, fish, lighthouses, bogs, and more. There are oils, watercolors, pastels, acrylic, collage, and photographs. The exhibition will run until September 28.

The Marion Art Center is located at the corner of Main Street and Pleasant Street. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The gallery is open to the public and admission is free.
