MARION — The First Congregational Church of Marion will host its annual holiday luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 8, featuring a warm meal and a “cookie walk.”

The event takes place at the church community center at 144 Front Street from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

The luncheon features hot chicken salad, along with cranberry compote, assorted homemade breads, beverages and cheesecake. The cost of the luncheon is $10. Advance tickets may be purchased at the church office located on the first floor of the Community Center. Tickets will also be available at the door.

At the same time as the luncheon, this year’s cookie walk will be supplied by bakers from the church. 

The first step on the walk is to pick up a decorated cookie box. Then, guests will fill the box with a dozen cookies from those offered. The cost of each box is $10. 

The event does not have wheelchair access. The building is located at the rear of the Marion General Store parking lot. Guests should park at the back right of the lot, or there is additional parking at Island Wharf.
