Rochester Select Board approves New England Rodeo schedule extension
ROCHESTER — The New England Rodeo will continue to ride on. At a meeting on Monday, Aug. 18, the Rochester Select Board approved a schedule extension that will allow the New England Rodeo to continue its programming until Saturday, Oct. 18.
“It has been an overwhelming success in terms of both attendance and the relationship between the town and the rodeo,” said Town Administrator Cameron Durant.
The rodeo’s operations have also been successful in terms of creating a safe, functional environment for patrons and competitors.
“Chief Assad and Chief Wiegel have had no concerns with safety or anything of that matter,” said Durant.
The Select Board unanimously approved the extension.
The New England Rodeo did not provide an official comment at the time of publication.
The rodeo operates on a bi-weekly schedule, with events taking place every other Saturday at 65 Pine Street. Additional information about ticketing and the rodeo schedule can be found online at https://www.nerodeo.com/
