MARION — The Marion Concert Band has announced its schedule for the 2024 summer. 

Directed by Tobias Monte, the band begins the season Saturday, July 6 at Silvershell Beach at the Independence Day fireworks show.

All other concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Robert O. Broomhead Bandstand on Island Wharf on Front Street. Concerts are weather permitting.

The schedule continues Friday, July 12 with “A Trip to the Movies That’s Out of This World.”

“A Young People’s Concert” follows Friday, July 19. Then, “Down to the Sea in Ships” is Friday, July 26.

The season continues into August with “The British Invasion” on Friday, Aug. 2, “A Latin-American Festival” on Friday, Aug. 9 and “From Jazz to Rock: America’s Popular Music” on Friday, Aug. 16.

Concluding the Marion Concert Band schedule in 2024 will be “The Best of Broadway” on Friday, Aug. 23 and “A Boston Pops Season Finale!” on Friday, Aug. 30.
