MARION — Members of the Marion Police and Fire Departments an Town Hall employees enjoyed sweet treats in observance of Pink Donuts for Alec, an effort to raise awareness of mental health issues.
Members of the departments participated to show their support for mental health and suicide awareness.
Alec White was 16 when he died by suicide Nov. 3, 2017 in Loudon, N.H. His family members have dedicated themselves to raising awareness of the importance of caring for one’s mental health.
Pink Donuts for Alec was held Feb. 26, what would have been Alec’s 20th birthday. Pink donuts were selected for the effort because they were Alec’s favorite treat.
